I utilize a cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused approach with experiential influences. My clinical beliefs stem from the social work model of Person-In-Environment utilizing unconditional positive regard. My interventions match each client where they are at emotionally, physically, and spiritually allowing them to pace the treatment to their comfort level.
I have several years of experience with children and adolescents working as a counselor after obtaining my bachelor’s degree up to becoming a primary therapist upon earning my Master’s degree. Issues addressed; grief and loss, attachment and abandonment, trauma, anger management, eating disorders, dissociative disorders, social skills, self-esteem, bullying, stress management, relationships, and parenting.”

Dr. David Fohrman
M.D., Psychiatry
Dr. John Fohrman is a board‑certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with more than 25 years of clinical experience. Trained in the U.S. military, he served as Chief of Mental Health for the 1st Armored Division while stationed in Germany. After completing a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego, he earned dual board certifications in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Fohrman practices a holistic model of care, integrating medication management with individual or family therapy and addressing co‑occurring medical or substance‑use issues to support the whole person—and their loved ones. His expertise includes preventing and treating post‑traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in military veterans, first responders, and other trauma survivors, as well as using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for treatment‑resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD.

Lauren Kelly is a Provisional Clinical Social Worker (PCSW) specializing in trauma-informed care. She has experience working with Juvenile Probation and the Department of Family Services. As a Marine veteran, Lauren is passionate about engaging with military service members and other veterans, and she aims to connect with and help others through a trauma-informed lens.
Lauren enjoys working with couples and families, offering support through various life challenges and fostering healthy communication and relationships. She practices holistic approaches and mindfulness techniques, and she strongly advocates for self-care and well-being. Lauren is enthusiastic about meeting new people from around the world and learning about different cultures. In her free time, she enjoys socializing, playing video games, and engaging in arts and crafts.

As a Master’s level intern specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, I am dedicated to supporting adults through life transitions. My passion lies in empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals and enhance their well-being through empathetic, evidence-based counseling. I employ a person-centered approach, blending theoretical knowledge with practical experience, to collaboratively work with clients in reaching their goals.

Collin Kosiba
MSW Intern
Collin is a Cheyenne native and currently a student in the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work program with a focus on trauma-informed mental healthcare. He has served in both the Marine Corps and Air National Guard and has actively volunteered with various organizations across the state. His undergraduate degree in Philosophy showed him the value that schools of thought like Stoicism and Existentialism have in helping people live good lives. He sees therapy as a great opportunity for self-growth and uses a client-centered approach focusing on mindfulness, compassion, and helping people act in line with their values, along with using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help people become the best version of themselves. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, doing jiu jitsu, playing chess, and going hiking or backpacking during Wyoming’s three week summer.

Maddy Keslar
MSW Intern
Maddy is a Cheyenne native and a current graduate student at Grand Canyon University, pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work. She previously worked as an elementary school teacher in Cheyenne, where her experience in the classroom inspired her to seek a deeper impact on the mental health and well-being of her community. This passion ultimately led her to the field of social work.
Maddy is dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages in achieving their full potential and healing from past experiences. She utilizes a person-centered approach and integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients grow and thrive. Maddy strongly believes in the power of therapeutic relationships and the capacity of individuals to become the best versions of themselves.
In her free time, Maddy enjoys reading, traveling, drinking coffee, and going on runs.

Kristy Tyrney
MSW Intern
Kristy is a dedicated Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) intern currently pursuing her degree at Walden University. With a strong foundation in the NASW Code of Ethics and a commitment to practicing cultural humility, Kristy is passionate about promoting the well-being of individuals and communities.
She currently also works part-time as an Administrative Assistant for the Wyoming Workforce Development Council and is a certified paralegal. Her background includes active involvement with nonprofit organizations, where she has supported various community initiatives.
Kristy is especially passionate about advocacy and supporting survivors of domestic violence. She aspires to earn her Master’s degree in Social Work and pursue clinical licensure, with the goal of becoming a trauma-responsive professional.
In her free time, Kristy enjoys iced coffee, fitness & strength training at the gym, and spending time in nature.

Willow Kietell

Willow is a “Bug,” which is a mix between a Boston Terrier and a Pug. She has been coming to Thrive as an office/therapy dog since the age of 10 weeks. Willow was born in September 2019 and she loves to visit with people all day long! She may even get excited and ask for you to play with her! Willow has earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate and she loves her job! She will greet you when you enter the office and often will walk with you to the door on your way out! She loves back scratches and belly rubs and will often try to give you a thousand kisses!
